Rediscover a Filipino First w Sentro 1771's New Menu

In 2002, Sentro exploded on the local culinary scenes w its original modern cuisine. Executive Chef Vicky has gone through different ways of cooking Filipino contemporary dishes, combining Swiss and French techniques.

SPECIALTY OF THE HOUSE
Sinigang na Corned Beef 595
Corned beef short plate and boneless beef shanks in tamarind broth with native vegetables

People lined up outside just to taste this Sentro1771's famouse sinigang, Who would have thought that you can eat sinigang but laaah! Its a corned beef. I love the taste. The saltiness and the sourness of the broth is really comforting. Its really perfect for the weather that we have today. This dish is so unique. Now, I wonder how Sinigang na sardinas tastes like.

Sentros 1771 has brought my thumbs up by tasting their Filpino dishes which are not usual that you could ever imagine. They serve meat, fish and etc., It suits you and your families taste buds. Giving good taste to savor is contagious here at Sentro. They'll give you an awesome fine dine filipino cuisine experience with a twist.

Before I've toured my taste bud into their finest cuisine I first tasted their dalanghita juice which is really perfect way of appetizing. I love drinking citrus whenever I eat on restaurants. I love the sweetness of the juice which is really refreshing.

The ambiance of the restaurant makes me want to become a chef!!! HAHAHA. Watching them cooking as busy as a bee makes me want to cook too! I love how you can see the place and how they prepare your food before you eat. The place is so clean and relaxing too.

B2B Sticks (4pcs) 150
Skewered and grilled organic chicken gizzard cooked adobo-style

I love gizzard! I love intestine and this one is extremely awesome. Although cooked very dryly, might as well be enjoyed with sauce or vinegar. I thought its grilled but no way it is. It has been cooked like my fave adobo. And every bite you'll taste the saltiness that you want whenever eating adobo. If some of your foreigner friends want to taste our local street food this is a go.

Macau Chorizo and Cheese Tidbits 240
Mini spring rolls filled with Macau chorizo, shallots and keso de bola

These rolls are my top of the line favorite. Every bite is delicious, I love chorizo and cheese. Plus dip it in their special vinegar. I think its a way like pinakurat na suka which blends the taste. My mom loves to cook a lumpia like this so adding keso de bola for extra flavor is the best!

Duck Pancakes (4pcs) 170
Peking pancakes filled with strips of native duck slow-cooked in beer, rhum vinegar, soy sauce and muscovado sugar

As soon as you taste it you'll definitely say its a WOW. At first I have thought that its a beef strips. But I was mistaken, these pica pica is no way beef nor pork but a duck. The taste is very satisfying. Sweetness along with sourness of the rum vinegar. This is my favorite pica pica so far.

Seafood Bagoong Rice 530
Topped with grilled squid, garlic shrimps and hito flakes.

This is how you say it. "Rice palang ulam na", I literally called it as Ensaladang Rice, you'll be able to have everything in out plate. Ensalada, squid, shrimps and also hito flakes. These ingredient made the rice really flavorful. That even if you just ordered this you'll be satisfied.

Chicken Adobo sa Gata 250
Still retains the vinegar-garlic-peppercorn balance but thickened with coconut milk.

No amount of happiness and joy can exchange if you'll cook me a good adobo dish. Im an adobo person, even if ill eat it everyday Ill end up loving you even more. These chicken adobo are so soft that even if you dont own a single teeth anymore you'll really enjoy. Tastiness and saltiness are in here!! I love how they cooked it. Extremely awesomesauce.

Lamb Caldereta 480
Boneles lamb shoulder stewed with carrots, bell peppers, tomato sauce, and spices. Can be mild or spicy.

I think this is my first time to try lamb and on a caldereta dish. I love it especially with the bagoong rice. I will definitely try this again next time.

Fish of the Day Pandan  220 per 100g
Whole fish stuffed with sauteed onions, tomatoes, miso and malunggay, tied in pandan.

This is the loveliest and the most yummiest fish Ive ever tasted. I've finished 2 halves. I love the stuff and the taste especially when you pour some vinegar. I love how flavorful it is. And the bones are not really intimidating so you'll really enjoy eating this fish. Ill eat this again next time. I so love it.

Two-Egg Ampalaya Crepe 150

I love bitter melon. Its amazing that they added egg and the salted duck egg for extra flavor. To those ampalaya haters this dish will change your mind even.

Camote cups 4pcs 240
Carved sweet potato filled w stir-fried cabbage, Baguio beans and carrots

This dish will make you full. Perfect for diet savvy people. By eating one cup and add some sauce its flavor will burst out and also will make you full in just one cup. This is also one of my favorite dish they served.

My plate heehee.

Custard w Keso and Salted Egg

I love this. When you eat this 3 all at the same time you'll remember Christmas. Why? It tastes like bibingkang pasko. I love the taste combined by these 3 are really awesome. It wont make you "umay".

Fried Suman with Mangoes

I forgot how much it is but its pretty cheap. I thinks its like 150php per serving. You'll think that its just an ordinary rice cake, But its not. Its crispy!! I love it so much plus the mangoes added on top made everything in balance.

Banana crepe. These are small saba bananas I think its glazed on top. The crunchiness of the crust and the ream in between are really yummy and sweet. You might also spread some caramel and chocolate to make it tastier.

w my eating buddies by that time
(John, Ayna, Ruds, Eunice, Yours truly)
Had fun eatin' w them <3

Cool ambiance outside and inside so cozy and humble.
